Visited East Saltoun Parish Church in East Lothian Scotland after doing a web search on decendents John THORBURN and Emily DUNN.
The church website is quite good in providing research into family trees. John THORBURN and Emily DUNN are buried in plot A16 and an inscription can be found here in the survey of grave inscriptions for this and neighbouring churches, Bolton and Pencaitland.
East Saltoun Parish Church is in the gothic style and dates back to 1805.
Neighbouring West Saltoun is a smaller village and today is made up of just a few houses.
A former branch railway line which linked East and West Saltoun to Gifford, Haddington and ultimately Edinburgh was closed to passengers in 1933 and is now a cycle path.
