To research the names Elbourne and Downs in my family tree I travelled to Innerwick a Scottish coastal parish and small village, which lies in the east of the county East Lothian, 5 miles from Dunbar and approximately 32 miles from Edinburgh.Map.
Innerwick Parish Church is a simple structure with a little Gothic detailing and built from sandstone. The church today dates from the 1780's but was built on the site of a much older church.
